TUNE IN, LOGON, DROP DEAD
Parallel Universe is a story in process. Writers are invited to write a parallel story which will be posted next to the first story. The Omniscient Moderator will decide whether the posts can go on as submitted or if they need editing. This will be two stories side by side in a parallel universe of our creation. Please enter your story elements as a comment and they will be added to the story in the right hand column. You can read the entire author story in the post TUNE IN, LOGON, DROP DEAD - the whole story.

Melissa Recoils at the Thought

Her face showed the disbelief common to people who are confronted with death, murder, and the idea that someone close may be the criminal. Nobody wants to admit that someone in their circle might be resposible for a heinous act. It’s simply not part of everyday life, except that occasionally tragedy strikes, and then people have to revise their opinion of what their colleagues might be capable of. There’s not any hard and fast rule which prevents everyone from stepping over the line. Common decency, a sense of fair play, a desire to survive the day and work another, these are always in play. But what is that one thing, that one small, even innocuous event, which can cause a rational person to flip, and commit the capitol crime?

Wait a moment: The character trail in the story is strange. We've got Tiko, and Dave (the narrator), and Basil. Then 'S' has Millie, Goddess, Tony aka Banjo, Spongebob, The Baron, Jeff (the narrator), Pudge, Sis, and Val. May I suggest that it is too many characters and that they don't meld?
